Description

Design and review HTTP APIs consumed by apps, partners, and agents — resource modeling and URLs, method semantics, status codes, RFC 9457 Problem Details errors, cursor pagination, allow-listed filtering and sorting, idempotency keys for POST, optimistic concurrency with ETags, versioning and deprecation, consistent JSON conventions (casing, ISO 8601 UTC dates, money in minor units with currency), authentication, rate-limit headers, OpenAPI contracts, webhooks you send (signing, retries, event IDs), and when to use Next.js route handlers vs Server Actions. Use whenever the user designs or reviews a REST/JSON API, public or partner endpoints, webhooks for others, mobile-app backends, or an OpenAPI spec.
