Description
Write, advise on, and review TypeScript — tsconfig and strictness, modeling with unions/discriminated unions/generics, narrowing and type guards, unknown vs any, satisfies and as const, utility and mapped types, module settings (verbatimModuleSyntax, moduleResolution, erasable syntax for Node type stripping), runtime validation at boundaries (zod), declaration files, and type-level performance. Use whenever the project has tsconfig.json or .ts/.tsx files, the user hits a type error, asks how to type something, wants to remove `any`, tighten types, or upgrade TypeScript.

Changelog
v1.2.0Oct 16, 2026Latest
Added
references/strict-mode.md: a strict-mode reference (common errors and fixes, flags beyond strict, incremental migration) - merged from the formertypescript-strict-modeskill.references/generics.md: a generics reference (constraints, conditional types and infer, mapped types, when not to use generics) - merged from the formertypescript-genericsskill.references/narrowing-and-type-guards.md: a narrowing reference (type predicates, assertion functions, exhaustiveness, where narrowing is lost) - merged from the formertypescript-type-guardsskill.
v1.1.0Oct 3, 2026
Changed
- Checked against the official documentation (October 2026).
- Added a TypeScript 6.0 and 7.0 reference: 6.0's new defaults (strict, module esnext, types [], rootDir), removed and deprecated options (baseUrl, moduleResolution node, ES5, AMD/UMD/SystemJS, outFile), and how to adopt the native 7.0 compiler.
- Noted that TypeScript 7.0 has no programmatic API until 7.1, so typescript-eslint and Vue/Svelte tooling still need 6.x side by side.
- Added 3 pitfalls and 3 review checklist items.
v1.0.1Oct 3, 2026
Changed
- Renamed the title to describe what the skill does with the product, so it doesn't read as an official or endorsed edition.
- Added a trademark notice to the README.
v1.0.0Oct 2, 2026
Added
- First release.
