Use, customize, and review shadcn/ui — the copy-into-your-repo component collection built on Radix (or Base UI) and Tailwind — CLI (init/add), components.json aliases and style, theming with CSS variables, Tailwind v4 + tw-animate-css setup, updating components without losing local changes, composing variants with cva and cn(), data-slot conventions, registries, blocks, and forms. Use whenever components.json exists, the project has components/ui/* files built on Radix + Tailwind, or the user says "add a shadcn button/dialog/table", wants to theme shadcn, or asks how to update shadcn components.
